I usually go a totally loaded Blizzard when I visit a Dairy Queen, but this time around, given I recently had lunch, I went for a small cake cone with vanilla soft serve and dipped in chocolate sauce for a hard shell. I wanted a brown sugar cone, but for some reason Warren Buffet doesn't carry them!
The ice cream was what I expected it to be: cold, smooth, and definitely full of great vanilla flavor. They also did not skimp on the quantity, even for a small cone. The hardened chocolate sauce was great. It was crisp on contact and then quickly melted in the mouth filled with a great sweet chocolate flavor. If I just had a brown sugar cone...
Service was good and the place was rather clean. -

Love chocolate dipped cones, however on three different occasions the chocolate was rubbery & twice the ice cream was extremely runny. Two weeks ago I called & spoke to the owner & she was very sorry & asked if I would return.Last week I did & again rubbery chocolate & ice cream that was too liquid.

" 9/25/2019 Hi Dave, we're sorry to hear we did not satisfy your cravings during your last visit. We appreciate your feedback. We hope you give us another chance and visit us again.

Dear DQ Relations Team, it's not a matter of not having my "cravings" satisfied, it's a matter of not getting what I paid for, plain and simple. Although you say you appreciate my feedback, it did however take you 4 months to respond.
Instead of making light of the fact that my cravings were not "satisfied" I would have preferred for you to at least tell me that you would go over the minimal guidelines with your employees to ensure other people do not get shorted for what they paid for as I did. But I thank you for automatically assuming it was because I didn't get my sugar fix. -

This place is the absolute worst place to go for ice cream. Two employees working on one order while 6 people have been waiting in line for over 10 minutes to place an order. They (the employees) have no sense of urgency when it comes to doing there job. After finishing an order one of the two here disappeared to the back when she could have been taken orders to get this line moving.

My boyfriend and I went to get some ice cream one night after dinner around 7 or so. There was plenty of parking and no one in line. Two girls were working so while one girl took our order, the other girl made our Blizzards. I'd say we were in and out within 5 minutes or so. The restaurant is fairly large and has plenty of seating if you wanted to stay there to eat. I didn't know there were even Dairy Queens left in San Diego, so to find one so close to my house was pretty exciting. I'll definitely be heading back when I'm in the mood for some ice cream!
